<![CDATA[D8RR, H8RR, D10RR and H10RR
In the RR classes (control route), there is a route tape from start to finish. The controls are always placed next to the tape. The tape is drawn in a way that enables the orienteer to choose a shorter, faster and safe route by following clearly visible features in the terrain, such as paths, ditches or borders between pine and broadleaved forest.
+ In the D8RR, H8RR and Open RR classes, a family member or other supporter is allowed to escort the orienteer around the course.

D12TR and H12TR
In the TR-classes (supporting route), the taped RR route is printed on the map, but the controls are placed some metres away from the taped route. The orienteer can follow the tape and/or other obvious objects and formations that support the navigation. The controls are placed at obvious points and usually also next to other supportive features.

D12 and H12
The course for 12-year olds is planned so that you can follow clearly visible formations in the terrain, such as paths, ditches and borders between different kind of forest (pine/leaf). The controls are placed at obvious points next to these features. The orienteer can save time by taking shortcuts between two clear formations, compared to running all the way around. (These classes correspond to a yellow/easy course in Sweden.)

D13 and H13
In this class, the controls are placed at or nearby an obvious point in the terrain. The orienteer can mainly follow obvious formations, but needs to use the compass in order to navigate from one formation to another. There is also a need for following marshes, contours, ridges and depressions. (These classes correspond to an orange/medium course in Sweden.)

D14 and H14
In these classes, the controls are placed near a clear feature. The orienteer needs to follow marshes, contours, ridges and depressions. You also need to follow your compass towards a catching feature. (These classes correspond to an orange/medium course in Sweden.)
